Jyoutiṣa, one of the six vedāńgas is considered as the eyes of vedapuruṣa. The triṇetratā (three eyes) is not just popular with certain deities but it is evident even with our śāstras. Especially a śāstra deemed as the eyes of vedapuruṣa. Hence we hear “triskandham jyoutiṣam”. In these three skandhas namely siddhānta, samhitā, and horā the essence of jyoutiṣa exists.
