Overview

Brahmavidyā Upaniṣad, one of the profound texts among the 20 Yoga Upaniṣads, which delves into the esoteric practices and philosophies central to the attainment of mokṣa (liberation).

What you’ll learn
  1. Understanding Brahmavidyā and Hamsavidyā: Learn about the core philosophies and techniques that form the heart of yogic practices aimed at realizing the Ultimate Reality. These teachings elucidate the path to self-realization and the union with the divine, providing clear directives to transcend the physical and mental limitations.

  2. Practices of Praṇava and Nādānusandhānam: The course will cover the profound practices involving praṇava (the sacred syllable Om) and nādānusandhānam (meditation on the inner sound), which are described in the Upaniṣad as essential techniques for achieving mokṣa. These practices foster deep meditation, leading to higher states of consciousness and inner peace.

  3. Roles of the Ācārya and Śiṣya: Gain insights into the attributes and responsibilities of both the teacher (ācārya) and the disciple (śiṣya) as outlined in the Upaniṣad. Understanding these roles will enhance your perspective on the student-teacher relationship in spiritual education, emphasizing the importance of guidance, respect, and devotion in the pursuit of knowledge.
